We meet a lot of remarkable people—but not everyone’s a good fit for our team. If you’ve made it this far, there’s a good chance you care deeply about the message you want to share with the world. Before we get into timelines or pricing, we want to make sure it makes sense for both of us to work together.
We’re not trying to work with everyone. We’re trying to do our best work for the right people. So below, you’ll find a few reasons someone might decide not to work with WestSky Studio. If any of them resonate with you, no hard feelings—we wish you well, and there are plenty of other great paths forward.
But if you read this list and still feel like we might be your people, you just might be in the right place.
1. You’re Looking for the Cheapest Option
We’re not the most affordable publishing or design studio—and that’s intentional. WestSky is built on the belief that meaningful stories deserve thoughtful, handcrafted execution, not cut corners or rushed timelines. We deliver depth, not discounts.
2. You Want to DIY Everything
If you love learning new tools and have the time to figure out website hosting, DNS, metadata, ISBNs, typesetting, and publishing platforms—more power to you. We exist for the people who want to focus on their mission while trusting a seasoned team to handle the creative and technical heavy lifting.
3. You Want to Go Viral
We pay attention to what’s working in the market, but we’re not here to chase trends for trend’s sake. If you’re looking for quick clicks or throwaway content that checks an algorithm box, we’re not the team for that.
4. You Want Generic or Corporate
We’re small by design. That means you work directly with real people—not a ticketing system. If you want a slick, corporate machine—we’re not that. But if you want a dedicated team who cares about your message, we might be the perfect fit.
