How The Program Works
This program is not a passive learning experience. You will have real, one-on-one guidance and coaching every step of the way.
Your training is personalized to your pace and learning style, but the structure ensures steady progress. Over 16 weeks, you will learn every core skills a modern author needs to have:
- Building and refining your characters and world
- Shaping plot structure and pacing
- Developing theme, dialogue, and conflict
- Revising with professional editing techniques
- Preparing your manuscript for design and formatting
- Introduction to the real indy publishing process.
Meet H.R. Gibson
H.R. Gibson is an experienced ghostwriter, novelist, and teacher with more than twenty published works across genres including historical fiction, fantasy, and contemporary literature. Many of her titles have reached the top ten in their categories.
Her background in psychology, social work, and teaching gives her a rare depth of insight into human nature, which shows up in her characters and storytelling. That same insight informs her mentorship, helping apprentices see both the art and the craft of writing more clearly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only do in-person lessons?
We accommodate in-person and online lessons. For the best mentorship experience, we highly suggest meeting with us in person in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. If you’re not able, we have also tailored the experience over video calls.
Do I need to have a completed manuscript to join?
No, you don’t need a completed manuscript. Our program is designed to guide you through the entire process, from concept to publication.
How much time should I dedicate to the program each week?
In addition to the weekly one-hour lesson, you should plan to spend at least 5-6 hours per week on writing and assignments to get the most out of the program.
Will I be guaranteed publication at the end of the program?
Yes, our program is designed to accommodate various fiction genres, including but not limited to historical fiction, fantasy, contemporary, mystery, and more.

Do you have any restrictions on book content?
We draw the line on PG-13 material. This program is a professional education experience and we do not allow explicit content. Connect with us to learn more.

Yes! Students or sponsors can pay one of three ways.
